"VAN" (Sports Desk - 26.11.2024) :: The FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship (INRSC) for two-wheelers witnessed thrilling rallies at the picturesque PRP Valley, located 60 kilometers from Guwahati. Banteilang Jyrwa emerged as the star of the event, claiming premier open class victory in both the East Zone National Rally Sprint Championship and the NEMA Guwahati Sprint Rally, a support rally for locals.
Despite the challenging conditions, with the rally track still wet and slushy from the overnight rain and the hilly terrain adding to the difficulty, all riders navigated the demanding route without incident.
In the Open Upto 550cc class, Banteilang Jyrwa secured the title with an impressive timing of 6:55.800. Following closely was Naresh Vs, who finished second with a time of 7:12.100.
Arnav Kalita triumphed in the 131cc to 165cc class, crossing the finish line at 7:31.000. He was joined on the podium by Madhurjya Jyoti Rabha and Kaustav Kalita, who recorded times of 7:50.200 and 8:12.300 respectively.
In the Ladies Upto 260cc class, Sneha Cc claimed the top spot with a timing of 11:32.200, while Daisy Saikia secured second place with a time of 16:34.700.
Hansraj Saikia dominated the Bullet Class Upto 550cc category, finishing at 8:18.100 to claim first place. He was followed by Madhurjya Jyoti Rabha with a time of 8:27.800 in second place and Sidhartha Sikia, who finished third with a time of 10:48.900.
NEMA Guwahati Sprint Rally - Support Rally:-
Banteilang Jyrwa continued his winning streak by securing first place in the Open Upto 550cc class of the NEMA Guwahati Sprint Rally, crossing the finish line at 6:53.700.
In the Veterans Upto 260cc class, Dipak Boro put on a fantastic ride, completing the course in 9:38.700.
Hansraj Saikia once again showcased his skills in the Bullet Class Upto 550cc, clocking 8:20.300 to claim first place. Udayan Das and Sidhartha Sikia finished second and third with times of 9:27.000 and 10:41.500 respectively.
Amit Baidya shined in the Scooter Upto 210cc class, securing first place with a time of 9:15.000. He was followed by Arnav Kalita, who finished second with a time of 9:30.500.
The season will culminate with the final round of the INRSC-2W, set to take place in Pune on 14-15 December 2024, where the top riders from each zone will compete for the prestigious national championship title.
