"VAN" (Hemant Kumar Sharma - Delhi, India - Editor Asia of VAN International News Agency) :: India; the land of different traditions and cultures. Land of Mahabharta, Haryana’s Kurukshetra is the birthplace of the Holy Scripture Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, where it was offered to Arjuna by Lord Krishna.
Dedicated to the birth of the sacred Geeta, every year International Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav is celebrated at Kurukshetra. Haryana Government has been organizing this Festival since long but from last couple of years this is known by an International Geeta Jayanti Festival, where from last two years Mauritius was the partner country & in 2019 Nepal was supposed to be an international partner of the said program but till today there is nothing on the place of international partner. Festival opened for general public on 23rd November & it will be up to 10th December officially.
There are several programs and evening shows that invite National and International artists from all around as per the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB), but till today there is nothing on the place of International in these programs as well. Programs include Dancing, Singing, Poetry Shows & many more at Cultural Event Venue.
On the other hand, there were lots of negativity by this program from the side of KDB this year. Lots of pollution over there by the garbage dumping ground of the development board & board members are burning this day-by-day. From this pollution is generating more & more over there, that is very much harmful for the visitors.
Tiles are broken from lots of places on the surroundings of the Asia's largest sarover i.e. Brahmsarover & the water of this sarover is very dirty during these days. KDB never clean this sarover on the occasion of this type of biggest festival.
Lots of these types of question marks on the KDB that what they are doing there on the name of this development board? They are there only for generating money from this? Do you know the budget of this festival from the side of state government is more than 20 Crores INR. But after this much of the biggest budget KDB is doing nothing on the place of development board. They are developing themselves only, nothing much.
Final question is from the Chief Minister of the state that are you visiting these dirty places or at the time of your visit your officials show you only up-to-date places??? Please go there suddenly Mr. Chief Minister & visit the place what or where ever you want i.e. all corners of the Asia's largest sarover because this is the holy sarover for Hinduism.
