"VAN" (Sports Desk - 04.11.2024) :: The Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) is pleased to announce that the South Australian Drag Racers Association (SADRA) has taken on naming rights sponsorship of the Super Gas bracket for the 2024/2025 ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship.
SADRA, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022, has always maintained an affiliation with ANDRA over its more than five decades, offering a vital service to South Australian drag racers and actively promoting ANDRA drag racing locally in Adelaide while also supporting regional tracks across the country.
“SADRA, like all ANDRA member clubs, is all about promoting and supporting ANDRA drag racing and so we are very proud to be able to support the new ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship,” SADRA President, Andrew Favotti, said.
“We have quite a few Super Gas racers in our club, including Rob Bergamin who has been lighting up the scene in his non-traditional Super Gas car of late, so it makes sense for us to get behind this bracket.
“We are really looking forward to seeing what are sure to be lots of incredible Super Gas performances across the upcoming rounds of the newly established ANDRA championship, and to watching the series grow from strength to strength.”
ANDRA Chief Executive Officer, Tim McAvaney, welcomed SADRA’s support of Super Gas and the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship.
“Clubs and their volunteers are the backbone of ANDRA drag racing and our sport would not be what it is without their support of our members,” McAvaney said.
“To have SADRA taking that support one step further by signing on as the naming rights sponsor for Super Gas within the ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship is greatly appreciated, and we are excited to see some great racing from the SADRA Super Gas bracket coming up across the upcoming rounds of the 2024/2025 ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship.”
