Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan can prove to be an insurance of Indians - KU Professor

"VAN" (Kurukshetra Bureau - Haryana) :: ‘To implement Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan as an idea of India, we have to forget the pains of lockdown and avoid confusions with consistency in thoughts and actions by remaining alert, aware and awake with wisdom and rationality for everything happening around in the society,’ said former Vice Chancellor M.M. Goel, a known needonomist professor retired from Kurukshetra University.

Professor Goel was addressing international e-conference organised by Deva Nagri College, Meerut. The e-conference was on the topic ‘Atamnirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India): Opportunities and Challenges’ at the Department of Commerce.

We should avoid over emphasizing ‘vocal for local’ and be little diplomatic and use the wisdom for ‘Glocalization’ meaning thereby think globally and act locally for promoting Vasudhiava Kutumbakam (the world is one family) as the Indian ethos, emphasised Goel as needonomist.

To implement Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan flawlessly, adopt the canons of public expenditure ‘faithfulness, wisdom and Economy’ by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, believes Goel as Ambedkarite.

To prove Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan as an insurance to the Indians, we have to adopt ‘Needonomics’ ( economics of needs) which is nonviolent, spiritual and ethical in nature and deserve attention of the prime minister and his think tank, believes Professor Goel.

To ensure public participation in Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan , we need to become street smart in using smart phones, explained Professor Goel.

The government should understand the struggle of the migratory workers as silent satyagrah a kind of protest and come out with concrete programme of action with labour reforms, feels Professor Goel.
