Bill Gates commended PM Modi's leadership in dealing with the Covid-19 Pandemic in India

"VAN" (Bureau Desk) :: Gates Foundation co-chair Bill Gates has commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic in India. In a letter to Mr.Modi, Mr.Gates commended the proactive measures, the Modi government has taken to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 infection rate in India. The measures include adopting a national lockdown, expanding focused testing to identify hot spots for isolation, quarantining, and care, and significantly increasing health expenditures to strengthen the health system response and promote research and development and digital innovation.

Mr.Gates also appreciated the Aarogya Setu digital app for coronavirus tracking, contact tracing, and to connect people to health services.

Mr.Bil Gates said, he is grateful to see that Mr.Modi is seeking to balance public health imperatives with the need to ensure adequate social protection for all the Indians.
