"VAN" (International Desk) :: Health Ministry has set up 14 fully-equipped and fully-staffed centers for medical isolation to treat cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Director of al-Zabadani National Hospital in Damascus Countryside Dr. Ali Moussa said the hospital, which is one of the 14 centers, is equipped to treat patients infected with the virus, with a staff of 220 people that have been trained in all the relevant procedures and who have all the necessary protective gear. Moussa said managing Coronavirus cases differs depending on the state of the patient in terms of medication, the need for a respirator or IVs, and so on. Chief of Residents at the hospital Dr. Hammam Ismael said the hospital has a capacity of 100 beds and has two ICU departments, voicing confidence in the ability of the Syrian medical community to confront this virus.
