Japan’s Kenya Karasawa over-throned Paris Paralympic Games 2024 gold medalist Yeltsin Jacques of Brazil and clinched gold in the men’s 5000m T11 final in the Indian Oil New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championships at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday. Japanese runner Karasawa bagged gold with an impressive timing of 15:23.38. Jacques secured his season’s best performance with 15:29.73 but failed to overtake Karasawa. Neutral Para Athlete Fedor Rudakov managed to get bronze medal with his season best performance of 15:43.05. Brazil’s Julio Cesar Agripino dos Santos and Peru’s Rosbil Guillen failed to finish the race.
