Italy’s dramatic Chicago-inspired routine, which marked a major improvement since their last outing, earned them the top step of the podium with a commanding margin. Spain’s silver was nonetheless historic, as it featured Dennis Gonzalez becoming the first male flyer in a World Cup medal-winning lift.
Throughout the competition, Spain showcased remarkable consistency and depth, topping the podium in multiple events including the Mixed Duet Free—where Gonzalez paired with Iris Tio Casas—and the Women’s Duet Free with Tio Casas and Lilou Lluis Valette.
