"VAN" (Sports Desk - 16.04.2026) :: STING, a global leader in manufacturing and supplying premium boxing kit and equipment, has been announced as an Official Provider Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Under the partnership, STING will supply the Boxing ring that will be at the heart of the competition at the SEC Centre, setting the stage for world-class Boxing talent. The Boxing programme will unfold from 24 July to 1 August displaying the ultimate test of speed, skill and stamina.
STING will also provide competition-standard equipment including pro-hand wraps, hand-stitched gloves and protective equipment ensuring athletes have premium, comfortable, safe equipment to help them perform at their best.
Supporting athletes to prepare for the Games, STING will also deliver fully equipped warm-up and training stations with leather punch bags and double-end bags as well as 16ft training rings.
Since 2003, STING has set the benchmark for reliability, comfort and quality in Boxing having provided equipment for Commonwealth Games (Glasgow 2014, Gold Coast 2018 and Birmingham 2022), Olympic Games and World Boxing. STING will bring its latest Boxing equipment innovations to Glasgow, with gloves and equipment perfected over 23 years in the sport, operating at the highest level.
This latest partnership reinforces Glasgow 2026’s commitment to delivering an inclusive Games, with STING equipment supporting athletes and promoting the sport at a grassroots level.
