"VAN" (Sports Desk - 13.01.2026) :: A new and exciting eFIBA chapter is about to be written as 58 National Federations prepare to step out for Season 4 and engage in a battle to become the World Champions of virtual basketball.
The competition will be played in the NBA 2K26 Pro-Am game mode and will officially tip off on January 13 with the African Pre-Qualifiers. This stage will run from January 13 to January 23, concluding with the North America Pre-Qualifiers. Teams advancing from the Pre-Qualifiers will progress to the Regional Qualifiers, scheduled from January 31 to March 8.
It's a journey that will culminate with the best teams from around the globe gathering for the highly anticipated eFIBA Season 4 World Finals in Doha, Qatar, during late April.
Taking place in the Middle East for the first time, the Finals will see an eight nation field for the showpiece phase, with the upcoming season expected to generate increased interest and visibility as teams compete for the eFIBA silverware and a $50,000 prize pool.
For eFIBA Season 4, all teams will be distributed in one of six regionally based Conferences to guarantee the best possible experience for both players and fans.
Each region will be structured using three different stages of competition, namely the Pre-Qualifiers, Regional Qualifiers and Regional Finals. The best two teams in each Conference will get to compete in the eFIBA Season 4 World Finals.
All eFIBA Season 4 information will be available via an updated website, with fans able to get closer to the action and access game streams, team and player information, as well as schedules and results.
The main casters for the new campaign will once again be Vince Chang, Chris Simpson and India Zuleimad, while Jasmine McKoy and Taras Metencuks have also been added to the team.
