Implementation of PM-SYM, PM-KSN reviewed in Ganderbal

“VAN” (Dar Rafi – Ganderbal, Srinagar) :: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan today chaired a meeting to review the progress under Padhan Mantri Shram yogi Mandhan (PM-SYM) and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KSN) Yojana here at Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Shafqat Iqbal, CPO, Anika Mushtaq, DSWO Ganderbal, ALC Ganderbal, District Manager CSC-SPV Gbl, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Informatics Officer and other concerned officers.

Threadbare discussions with regard to progress awareness, mobilization and identifications of beneficiaries, registration and other related issues were held in the meeting.

On the onset of meeting, the DDC was briefed about the significance of PM-SYM and total beneficiaries covered under the scheme in district.

He stressed on covering all genuine unorganized workers working as MG-NREGA job card holders, pony wallas, dandi wallas, labour card holders, home based workers, street vendors, mid-day meal workers, cobblers, agricultural workers, construction workers, handloom workers and similar other occupations whose monthly income is Rs 15,000/ per month or less and belong to the entry age group of 18-40 years.

The DDC stressed on concerned departments to coordinate with each other and complete the list of genuine workers expeditiously and were asked to ensure maximum number of workers get registered as primary objective of the scheme is to offer financial security to the people with no economic backup facilities, he added.

The District Manager CSCs was directed to expedite the process of enrollment in the district so that the enrollment can be completed within the set time frame.

He also emphasized on disseminating awareness about the scheme at village level by holding awareness camps to motivate the people for registration so that no genuine worker is left out of the scheme.

In another meeting, implementation, issues and progress under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KSN) Yojana was discussed.

During the meeting a detailed discussion was held on various aspects of the scheme regarding revised guidelines, uploading of beneficiaries’ data, preparation of a list of exclusive categories, activation of beneficiaries’ accounts, collection of Data and organization of awareness camps etc.

Under PM-KISAN, all landholding farmer families, having cultivable land, will be provided direct income support at the rate of Rs. 6,000 per year. This income support will be transferred directly into their bank accounts in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each.

During the meeting, the DDC urged the concerned officials to expedite the process of collection of data of left out farmers and upload it on the portal after verification so that entire data of farmers is uploaded. Besides, scheme is effectively implemented at grass root level in the district within the stipulated time.
