"VAN" (Ahmad Farhad Shaheer - Afghanistan) :: The Special Forces of Afghan National Police discovered and destroyed a large cache of explosives belonging to Taliban group in southern Kandahar province. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a statement said the cache was discovered during an operation which was conducted in the vicinity of Khakrez district. The statement further added that the operation was conducted on Tuesday night which resulted into the discovery of a large cache of explosives belonging to Taliban. According to Ministry of Interior, the cache contained 96 Improvised Explosive Devices and 4 BM-1 rockets. The explosives were stored inside a vacant residential house, the Ministry of Interior added. The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operation so far.
