Hackers stole information about two billion network users

"VAN" (Sergey Topychkanov - Russia) :: Unknown hackers have placed in the Web with the huge electronic database consisting of 2.2 billion unique passwords and user IDs. This leak has become the largest in history, writes the edition of Wired.
The base is freely available and distributed through torrent trackers and on piaratic forums.
This is the biggest collection of stolen data ever seen said Chris Rouland, the founder of the password database company.
The first such collection saw the light in January and included 773 million IDs and 22 million passwords. Experts urged users of the network not to hope for simple and easy to match combinations, and to use as a password more complex combinations of numbers and letters.
