India won 6 Gold, 2 Silver and 6 Bronze in US Open Karate Championship

"VAN" (Sports Desk) :: The Indian Karate Team has made India proud in the US Open Karate Championship in Las Vegas held from 30th to 1st of April. More than 42 countries participated in this annual karate championship. The team was led by Sensei Yashpal Singh Kalsi, India’s head coach and Asia chief of Sanshinkan Martial Arts. Indian team has won total 17 medals beating its own record of 10 medals in 2017. Yashpal himself has been participating and winning since last 2 years and this year too he has won a Silver Medal. Amongst the winners, everyone has come through adversities and challenges like: · Anamika Singh Kalsi who is an instructor at Sanshinkan Gurgaon is a mother of two and had been practicing hard since last year to make India proud · Ishita Aggarwal, an Student of Shri Ram School Gurgaon worked her way practicing hard throughout exams and wants to make her mark by teaching self-defense to women in India. She learns under Sensei Yashpal in Gurgaon. · Ayushi, who studies at Pathways, Aravalis in Gurgaon is a Black Belt at Sanshinkan, Gurgaon and like Ishita she worked hard while preparing for her exams and is inspired by her father who also happens to be a martial artist. · Amit Dhanda, he works in a reputed MNC in Gurgaon and has prepared post office hours for last few months · Aniket Gupta, the Team Captain has been representing India since last 12 years and is a three times commonwealth champion. · Deepika Dhiman, works with Income Tax department in India and braves her practice despite her challenging work hours.
