"VAN" (Delhi Bureau) :: The Pakistani military has confirmed that four Pakistani soldiers were killed or wounded in latest firing by Indian forces along Line of Control.
According to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of Pakistani military, the Indian forces launched firing at Rakchakri area in Rawalkot Sector earlier today.
The statement further added that three Pakistani soldiers were killed and another soldier was killed during the firing.
Pakistan army responded effectively, the military’s media wing added. Reports of casualties on Indian side, the statement added.
Tensions remain high between the two nuclear armed South Asian states after the air forces of the two countries engaged in a brief dog fight in Kashmir late in February.
The dog fight followed an India airstrike which was carried out in response to a deadly suicide attack in Pulwama of the Indian-administered Kashmir that left at least 40 Indian soldiers dead.
