Media Practitioners called by Zimbabwean Ministry for Climate Change Awareness Campaign

"VAN" (Shingirai Vambe - Harare, Zimbabwe) :: The Responsible Ministry of Lands and Agriculture has embarked on giving an awareness campaign to the media practitioners in Zimbabwe. The one-day workshop in the capital city Harare in a drive to cascade information to all the four corners of the country on Climate Change.
The Director, Mr Washington Zhakata, of the Climate Change, Management Department gave his opening remarks, edging journalist to write and broadcast more on climate change around the country. "There are a number of things which are affecting our climate as well as ozone layer depletion but lacking reportage".
The ozone and climate change Media Awareness Workshop has come at a time when the country has also faced an erratic rainfall pattern which is said to be a result of climate change and shifting of seasons.
Having 10 provinces, Zimbabwe has been one of the best countries around the world having a Mediterranean type of climate. Favorable to farming of all types and hibernation, this is how ever being affected by climate change leading to another type of climate with unknown and perplexing seasons.
