"VAN" (International Desk) :: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri stressed on Tuesday the necessity for preserving Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity. Ahmad Hafez, Spokesman of the Egyptian foreign Ministry, said that Shukri, who met the United States Special Representative for Syria James Jeffrey, called for working to “dry the resources of financing the terrorist groups and confronting any political and logistic support to them.” He pointed out to the continuation of Egyptian efforts with all sides concerned to push the political process in Syria forwards.
