NBT Organizes Lecture During Hindi Pakhwada to celebrate Hindi Diwas

"VAN" (Delhi Bureau - 07.09.2021) :: National Book Trust, India organized a lecture on 'Importance of Hindi as Official Language towards National Progress' on 07 September 2021 during Hindi Pakhwada (01-15 September 2021) on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

The lecture was delivered by Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey, the Vice Chancellor of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya and Director, Central Hindi Directorate.

In his lecture, Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey said that language is our consciousness and the basic concept of Indian culture is that possessing a deep understanding of language develops and enhances our personality. He said that Hindi is our official language and exhorted everyone to feel proud while communicating in Hindi.

Prof. Govind Prasad Sharma, Chairman NBT said that as long as the supremacy of English remains in our thoughts, Hindi will not be able to establish its dominance as the official language. For this, it is necessary that Hindi should be promoted as the language of research.

Smt. Neera Jain, CE&JD, NBT began the program by administering the Rajbhasha Pratigya. All NBT officers and employees present on the occassion took the oath.

The lecture was organized in the trust auditorium as well as through virtual medium. At the end of the program, Shri Rakesh Kumar Deputy Director (Rajbhasha) NBT proposed the vote of thanks.
