"VAN" (International Desk) :: Helicopter of the Afghan National Army crashed in northern Balkh province on 15th October, killed seven people on board. The 209th Shaheen Corps said in a statement that a Mi-17 helicopter crashed at around 5:30 pm this evening due to a technical issue. The statement further added that the helicopter belonged to 777th Unit of the Afghan Army which crashed during a training course. Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the helicopter had departed the Shaheen Corps compound and was on its way to Balkh Airport but crashed in Dorahi Hairatan after making an emergency landing due to a technical fault. The 209th Shaheen Corps also added that all seven people on board the helicopter lost their lives in the incident. Cr :: KHAAMA
