"VAN" (LIMA 2019 Sports Desk) :: Last Wednesday, we celebrated the 100 days ahead to the start of the Pan American Games. In this context, Lima 2019 presented the official competition calendar for the most important multi-sports event of the continent to be held for the first time in our country.
The opening will be celebrated in a special ceremony scheduled for July 26 at the National Stadium. However, the Pan American Games competitions will begin two days before. The international event will start on July 24 with women’s handball that will take place at the Sports Center 1 of VIDENA.
Events in four sports will start one day before the opening ceremony: beach volleyball at Costa Verde in San Miguel, squash at VIDENA, bowling at the Bowling Center in VIDENA and men’s softball at Villa María Sports Center. Also, women's handball competitions continue.
The whole competition calendar includes 39 sports and 62 disciplines that will be part of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. You can also check the venues map covering Lima, Callao, Végueta and Paracas, where the best athletes from the continent will participate. They will arrive in the country in less than 100 days.
