"VAN" (International Desk) :: In his first hours as president, Joe Biden is set to sign a raft of executive orders on climate action, immigration and coronavirus pandemic, striking at the heart of Trump's legacy. Biden set to end construction on Trump’s border wall, end the ban on travel from some Muslim-majority countries, rejoin the Paris Climate Accord and the World Health Organization.

Donald Trump departed the White House on Marine One Wednesday for one last time as president, skkiping Biden inauguration and leaving behind a legacy of chaos, tumult and a nation bitterly divided.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have taken oath at the US Capitol as the President and Vice-President of the United States of America. Kamala Harris is the first Black person, first woman to serve as vice president. In his maiden speech as president, Biden said: "We've learned again that democracy is precious, democracy is fragile, and at this hour, my friends, democracy has prevailed."
