"VAN" (Dar Rafi - Ganderbal - Srinagar) :: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road which is being executed and maintained by Beacon Authorities.
The meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, ACR Ganderbal, Tehsildar Gund, Tehsildar Wakura, officials from BEACON, and other concerned officers from line departments.
During the meeting threadbare discussion were held to remove the bottlenecks of land acquisition cases of the SSG road and various other issues related to it.
The DC on the occasion stressed upon the concerned officers to work in tandem and speed up the developmental tempo for completion of the prestigious SSG road.
He also directed Beacon authorities to start the process of work immediately, taking necessary support by concerned Tehsildar and SHO concerned wherever required.
Besides, a committee of officers was framed headed by SDM Kangan, including Tehsildar Kangan, Tehsildar Gund, and 2IC-Beacon, to conduct a joint visit on spots of SSG road having issues and put forth a genuine way out to resolve them at an earliest. The committee was also directed to furnish a report within weeks’ time in this regard to the chair.
