Tour de Hwange completed 2 days of cycling under watchful eyes of Parks rangers in Zimbabwe

"VAN" (Shingirai Vambe - Harare, Zimbabwe) :: The Tour de Hwange has now completed 2 days of cycling under the watchful eyes of Parks rangers and qualified guides.

18 cyclists rode 34 km yesterday and 42km today beautiful terrain that is looking lush and verdant from the late rains that was experienced in Hwange.

There are all staying at Robins Camp situated in the North west corner of Hwange National Park, some 80 km from Vic Falls.

The camp has been taken over by Machaba Safaris and they have done an amazing job of transforming both the camp site and the lodges

So good to see what people with foresight and concerted effort can do to completely transform a place in just 18 months.

The Campsite where most of the cyclists are staying must be one of the best in the country, lots of camping sites with electric points all around (13 and 15amp together), plenty of water and several brand new loos / showers all surrounded by Electric fence.

There are 40 Lodges that have been simply refitted yet look very up market. The dining area is open plan overlooking a big kidney shaped pool.

This morning they had their breakfast stop at a wonderful viewing site at Crocodile Pool on the Deka River.

Robins Camp is a definite must for those of you that want to see some special Zimbabwe areas with lots of game opportunities, there were apparently 7 lion sitting on the edge of the runway just down the road from the camp.

Rates at Robins Camp are very reasonable and affordable to those many people around the world, why not take time out with your family to stay in the camp During holidays.
