ZBC Veteran Journalist and diplomatic correspondent Judith Makwanya is no more

"VAN" (Shingirai Vambe - Harare, Zimbabwe) :: Makwanya died in the early hours of Tuesday morning after suffering from health complications and on Monday, when she was reported to be unconscious.

The cause of death is yet to be known but her doctor at west-end clinic said her blood pressure went too low Monday evening and in the early hours of Tuesday she passed on. Makwanya who served at the national broadcast several years was well known for covering on diplomatic missions and her untimely death has left a huge gap in Zimbabwe's Media industry.

Speaking with the Chief executive of the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Coperation, Mr Patrick Mavhura, he confirmed the death of Makwanya and spoke of the loss the organization has faced with new renovations and innovative programs and digitization program on the way, Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) has lost.

"We have lost a cadre, she was hard working and good when doing her job being one of the longest serving journalist for the national broadcaster, she was good in programming and documentaries and her death was untimely" said Mavhura.

We are preparing press statement and will be broadcasted soon he added.

Funeral arrangements are still to be made and communication and information will be made available to all who wish to join the Makwanya family in these difficult times.
