"VAN" (Bhat Yasir - Pattan, Baramulla, Srinagar) :: Residents of Wanigam Payeen Pattan, Village of District Baramulla said that due to the unavailability of Dumping sites, households of different Mohalla's are throwing their waste material on roadsides and many are throwing their waste material towards the banks of water bodies by which there are possibilities of spreading diseases in the area. Locals alleged that the tall claims of Government regarding cleanness and protection of water bodies actually failed on ground even many centre sponsored schemes were launched but nothing had happened on ground. Residents appeals District administration and Governor Administration to take immediate steps for the construction of Dumping sites as this is imperative to save the water bodies from pollution and the human beings from diseases.
